I am Mary Magotte (pronounced ‘mah-GUT’).
In the real world, I’m a speech pathologist, hermit, artist, amateur writer, and Asian drama fan. This is my first blog.
Speech Pathologist: I have been treating kids with articulation and language disorders for 5 years now. I specialize in /r/, /th/, /k/, /sh/, /ch/, and /l/. I believe all beings should have the wherewithal to communicate. It’s a true power.
Hermit: I have always been introverted. As a child, I escaped into a fantasy world by daydreaming, drawing, or reading. I was that kid in school with her head behind a book. After a day at work, or an evening socializing, it is imperative that I get home to decompress and recharge. And watch some drama.
Artist: I paint, draw, take pictures, edit pictures, play guitar, sing, record music, and otherwise process most information like an artist. I won a scholarship to an art college in high school, went to film school for 2 years, and toured with a band for 5 years.
Amateur Writer: See content here. I also write poetry, song lyrics, and the beginnings of stories that have yet to find their endings.
Asian Drama Fan: I’ve been watching Asian dramas for about 8 years now and still going. I don’t have the kind of factual brain that comes in handy for trivia night, but I do have a love for the art form and the ability to synthesize information. So, here I am, ready to write and discuss Asian drama.
